Soil Nutrient Workshop with Dan Kittredge (farmer and Director of Bionutrient Food Association)

We recently participated in our second Bionutrient workshop with Dan Kittredge in association with Northeast Organic Food Association (MA Chapter) and Project Bread (Boston), who are our partners in a study to document the effects of utilizing various minerals to increase the quality and amount of food we are able to produce in our main parcel on Hancock Street.

Staff members Ibrahim, Qamaria, Toussaint, and Anne were all in attendence, as well as other urban growers from from the surrounding areas, and farmers from as far away as Vermont and the North Shore (Massachusettts).  Kristin Brennan (former Director of GTC, now Development Director with NOFA-MA) has been doing a tremendous job working with us on the project!

The study will be introduced to the general public during the NOFA Summer Conference at UMASS this summer. Stay tuned!
