GTC EATS! WINTER FARM SHARE
GTC EATS! brings you affordable, farm fresh vegetables, grown without any chemicals or pesticides. GTC EATS! Winter Share members get a 14 week share of vegetables (with some fruit as available) grown by local farms. These shares consist mostly of crops that either can be grown in greenhouses during the cold months or that are storage crops - that is, they can be stored over the winter. This means you will get less variety of crops than during the summer but still be able to feed your family the healthy produce you have come to expect from GTC.
This winter we have our Hoop City Winter Share for $20/week. We are sorry not to be able to offer a discount for seniors or low income families over the winter as we do not have the funding to do so. If you wish to get double the veggies in a Hoop City Winter Share you can order a Double Hoop City Winter Share and we will discount your total price by $5 (12.5%!) - for a total cost of $35/week.
A Hoop City Winter Share is enough food for 1-3 people (depending on how many veggies you eat of course!). The share will include the following: 1 winter green (such as cabbage, lettuce, spinach), 1 herb, onions, 1 variety of winter root crops (such as beets, potatoes, turnips and radishes), garlic, squash, carrots and a special item (such as fruit, dried beans, etc). We are still figuring out what we will be able to source all winter long, and items will vary week to week based on what is available from farms in the area. We may have to go farther away for some items than we are used to.
